Why This Project?

I have always loved history and film making. When I was in my early teens an older friend of mine promised to tell me his story of how he had survived the invasion of Normandy and rescued his future wife from a concentration camp. Unfortunately, I never made the time to hear his story. Shortly afterwards he died of cancer and ever since then I’ve always regretted not making the time to hear his story.

Over the years I began to develop my skills in film and decided to make a career of it after graduating from Eastern New Mexico University in 2005, and have been working on it even since.

I wanted to make a difference with my films and got the idea of making a WWII documentary that did more than just give dates and facts, but actually grabbed teens attention.
